E-Fun Nextbook Flex 9 Is An Affordable Windows 10 2-in-1 Laptop. Reviewed Here
Let start
Windows 10 is here and many laptop makers seem to be competing for the title of "the most affordable windows 10 laptop." Today I will pick one that I consider the most affordable. I'm referring to the E-Fun Nextbook Flex 9. E-Fun's Nextbook Flexx 2- in-1 features an 8.9-inch detachable display, an Intel Atom processor and Windows 10 for a budget-friendly price of $109. But don't get too excited because there appears to be a catch for this, which is a slow performance, poor battery life and a cramped keyboard make it a poor value. But I got this as an extra notebook for entertainment and Web surfing and I am not regretting at all as this notebook does it for me.
DESIGN AND DISPLAY
Delving into the design, the E-Fun Nextbook Flex 9 comes in a matte-black (also available in blue or purple) casement. The only Nextbook Flexx 9 can fit just about anywhere, from messenger-bag flaps to large purses, and even some interior jacket pockets. E Fun gave the Flexx 9 a solid build quality and a very tight hinge, both of which make the hybrid feel more durable than its price suggests.
The E-Fun Nextbook Flex 9 measures 0.76 inches thick and weighs 1.95 pounds. To put things in perspective, the Nextbook Flexx 9 is lighter than the HP Pavilion x2 10t (0.78 inches, 2.62 pounds), the Lenovo Ideapad 100S (0.69 inches, 2.2 pounds) and the Kurio Smart (0.8 inches, 2.2 pounds).
In terms of ports and connectivity, the E-Fun Nextbook Flex 9 doesn't come loaded but you can still find a microSD card slot, a headphone jack and ports for power, micro HDMI and micro USB on the left side. Along the top edge of the Flexx 9's back, you'll find power and volume buttons, as well as its 2-megapixel rear camera. The Flexx 9 has a 0.3-MP front camera in the middle of its top bezel, and a single USB 2.0 port sits on the right side of its keyboard.
GENERAL PERFORMANCE
The E-Fun Nextbook Flex 9 should be the best option for parents hoping to get their kids online by giving them a PC experience but not really suitable for hard tasks. With an Intel Atom Z3735G processor and 1GB of RAM, the Nextbook Flexx 9 delivered poor performance in every test
I threw at it. The hybrid slowed to a crawl with only six Google Chrome tabs open, which means multitasking is a no no for this notebook. A long pause always accompanied a move between tabs, which is something every advanced human ware will despise. However, I think the price at N30.000 (or less) compensates for this
